Although not as widely known as the likes of Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin is still considered to be part of the “Holy Trinity” within the watch industry, alongside the previously mentioned. Yet very few watchmakers can claim a lineage as rich and fruitful as Vacheron. Still in full blossom and thriving all the way back from its inception in 1755, with its founder Jean-Marc Vacheron, as one of the oldest continuously operating watchmakers in the world.
In 1819, François Constantin joined the company, and his motto– “Do better if possible, and that is always possible”. This pursuit of perfection has since permeated their creations and the brand is renowned for its high complications, including perpetual calendars, minute repeaters and tourbillons.
One of the more recent creations, yet one of the pinnacles of their innovations came in 2015, with the most complicated mechanical watches ever made– The Ref. 57260, featuring an astonishing number of 57 complications.
Still based in Geneva, producing only a limited number of timepieces each year, the brand now leads with their cornerstone collections– Patrimony, Overseas and Traditionelle. They remain deeply committed to preserving traditional watchmaking as well as their ethos of elegance and precision.
